Job summary

CS Power Systems, a cutting-edge division of Canadian Solar, seeks an Environmental Engineer to lead environmental, health, and safety programs at the Jeffersonville, IN site. The role focuses on regulatory compliance, waste management, and EMS implementation to sustain safe, compliant operations.

You will work closely with manufacturing, engineering and site leadership to reduce environmental impact and ensure adherence to EPA, IDEM and local requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in environmental science or a related field such as chemical engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years’ progressive environmental experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Strong working knowledge of EPA regulations at federal, state and local levels.

Responsibilities

• Monitor chemical handling, storage and disposal in PV manufacturing processes.
• Design and oversee wastewater treatment and air emission control systems.
• Manage hazardous waste determination, storage, labeling and manifests.
• Lead EMS implementation and ISO 14001/45001 certification efforts.
• Develop and maintain environmental regulatory registers and permits.
• Coordinate environmental training and incident investigation and corrective actions.
• Prepare regulatory reports (Fire, OSHA, EPA) and support site construction projects.
