Job summary

Metal Technologies seeks an EHS Manager to lead safety and environmental programs across the plant. You will develop compliance procedures, interpret policies, and drive incident learning and risk reduction on the production floor.

The role requires strong experience in safety management, regulatory knowledge, and collaboration with HR and sustainability teams to enhance environmental performance and training across operations.

Qualifications

• BS in Occupational Safety & Health or related discipline (may substitute equivalent demonstrated competency).
• 5-10 years safety process experience in heavy manufacturing; foundry safety a plus.
• Environmental compliance experience (CAA, CWA, RCRA).
• Proven track record of proactively implementing safety initiatives.
• Experience with human/organizational performance concepts (Learning teams, Safety II, Safety Differently) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Leads the safety process within the assigned plant(s).
• Develops procedures for compliance to state and federal safety/health standards and assists with implementation.
• Interprets/adapts corporate policies and assists plant staff in policy implementation.
• Leads the incident learning process.
• Participates with HR in workers’ compensation and return-to-work processes.
• Manages medical surveillance and qualification processes.
• Provides effective training and education in safe work practices.
• Maintains required documentation and ensures it adds value.
• Reviews operations and maintains a visible plant-floor presence.
• Leads continuous improvement for risk reduction.
• Establishes trusting relationships with managers, supervisors, and hourly workforce.
• Ensures environmental requirements are met per Corporate Environmental Director.
• Acts as the facility’s environmental expert and emergency response leader.
• Collaborates with Sustainability Manager on EMS initiatives.
• Manages regulatory inspections and citations.
