Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Supervisor in City of Industry, CA. You will oversee all safety and health programs, audits, and regulatory compliance to protect employees and operations.

Responsibilities include monitoring KPIs, managing PPE, training, incident investigations, and workers’ compensation processes, with a focus on continuous improvement and cost control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing safety experience.
• Certifications CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST or equivalent preferred.
• Proven experience with food safety, OSHA regulations, safety management systems, and incident reporting.
• Excellent knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in manufacturing.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to monitor KPIs.
• Excellent communication skills with ability to train and guide employees.
• Demonstrated ability to manage PPE supplies and control costs.
• Experience with workers' compensation claims.
• Ability to work independently and make critical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and implement safety and health programs compliant with regulations including OSHA.
• Conduct regular safety audits to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Monitor safety metrics and KPIs, reporting to management.
• Manage PPE monthly usage and spending, ensuring stock and cost-efficiency.
• Develop and implement safety training programs for all employees.
• Handle incident reports, conduct investigations, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with management to foster a culture of safety.
• Oversee workers' compensation claims for prompt handling.
• Stay abreast of emerging safety trends and legislation.
