Job summary

SpaceX in Memphis is seeking a motivated Supervisor, Environmental Health & Safety to lead the EHS technicians and drive site safety programs. You will coordinate daily activities, ensure compliance with regulations, and partner with site leadership to advance EHS initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in EHS leadership, strong communication skills, and experience in construction/industrial settings, with proficiency in Windows and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience implementing and overseeing environmental, health, and safety disciplines.
• Experience implementing/developing EHS plans and policies.
• Experience using Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to work in a construction/industrial environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day and long-term activities/priorities of the EHS technician team
• Ensure a collaborative relationship with the technicians and other EHS/SpaceX teams
• Coordinate employee schedules, work assignments, timekeeping requirements
• Provide instructional guidance with regards to job assignments, correct procedures, and applicable techniques to perform specific skills
• Coordinate with site leadership to ensure appropriate EHS team involvement in department development/modification plans and procedure development
• Ensure technicians are completing all required tasks thoroughly and on time
• Document all performance and compliance issues with technicians
• Implement and maintain site-specific EHS team policies
• Ensure resources are allocated appropriately
• Ensure technicians are completing required EHS inspections via daily communication and oversight
• Develop and maintain relationships with EHS vendors
• Ensure hazards encountered by the technician team are being appropriately addressed and JHA/PPE assessments are created
• Perform tasks and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and other applicable regulatory agencies
