Job summary

DeutscheWindtechnik is seeking an EHS Specialist to drive safety excellence across projects. You will inspect worksites, identify hazards, and guide teams to implement corrective actions, training plans, and risk assessments in alignment with regulatory standards.

The role emphasizes collaboration with HR, Quality, Engineering, and Operations to sustain a proactive safety culture and robust KPI tracking. A timely response to incidents and return‑to‑work coordination will be essential to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent years of work experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position in business.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Proven experience in EHS roles, including field inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigation.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and safety standards.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead training sessions and drive EHS initiatives.
• Competency in maintaining and analyzing safety performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Inspect projects and address unsafe conditions to foster a safe work environment.
• Implement and uphold EHS policies and procedures to minimize risks to personnel.
• Support site safety plans and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Lead incident investigations to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Collaborate with HR, Training, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain on compliance goals.
• Manage cases involving injured workers and support return-to-work processes.
• Support EHS training plans and develop task-specific risk assessments.
• Interface with clients to discuss EHS improvements and initiatives.
