Job summary

DeutscheWindtechnik (DWT) is seeking an EHS Specialist to uphold regulatory requirements and promote a robust safety culture across the organization. You will inspect projects, address unsafe conditions, and provide expert guidance on EHS practices.

This role drives standardization of safety protocols and partners with HR, Training, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to advance compliance objectives. A Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of EHS experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent years of work experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a similar position in business.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Proven experience in EHS roles, including field inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigation.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field inspections and document results using the ROAR system.
  • Support corrective actions from inspections or incidents.
  • Assist EHS and technical training plans to ensure competency standards.
  • Collaborate with operations to develop task-specific risk assessments.
  • Lead and participate in incident investigations to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor lessons learned and support preventive and corrective actions.

We are seeking a committed and proactive EHS Specialist to join our team.This position is crucial in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and fostering a robust safety culture across the organization. The EHS Specialist willbe responsible forinspecting projects, addressing unsafe conditions, and providing expert guidance and support in the realm of EHS. Furthermore, this role will drive the standardization and enhancement of safety protocols, therebyassistingthe company in achieving its dedication to employee safety and operationalexcellence..

Are You Looking to:
  • Implement and uphold the DWT EHS policies and procedures aimed at minimizing risks to personnel.
  • Support and execute project-specific site safety plans to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
  • Identifyand mitigate unsafe conditions byleveragingfeedback through the Voice of the Team (VOT) employee observation process.
  • Maintain accountability for the EHS 5 Star Key Performance Indicator (KPI) function, ensuringtimelyresolution of hazards and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Human Resources, Training, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain, to further complianceobjectives.
  • Manage cases involving injured workers, supporting the return-to-work process in alignment with established company protocols.
  • Support EHS compliance training and expand initiatives accordingly.
  • Help build a culture where safety, accountability, and continuous improvement are shared responsibilities
Are You Ready to:
  • Conduct field inspections and document results using the DWT Real-time Operations Assessment Report (ROAR) system.
  • Support theCorrective Actions resulting from inspection or incident findings.
  • Support EHS and technical training plans to ensure workgroups meet competency standards.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to develop task-specific risk assessments.
  • Lead andparticipatein incident investigations toidentifyroot causesto preventrecurrence.
  • Monitor lessons learned, track EHS performance metrics, andsupport operations withthe execution of preventive and corrective actions.
  • Interface with clients and customers to address EHS improvements and initiatives.
