Job summary

UGI Energy Services, LLC is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to serve as the dedicated on-site safety and environmental professional at the Synthica Saint Bernard facility in Saint Bernard, Ohio.

The role focuses on building and sustaining site-specific EHS programs, procedures, and training, while overseeing contractor safety during pre-commissioning and supporting full in-house operations under UGIES management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• 3+ years of EHS experience in industrial environments.
• Experience with wastewater treatment, RNG, or chemical manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to develop and implement safety programs and training materials.

Responsibilities

• Lead contractor safety oversight during pre-commissioning construction.
• Develop site-specific EHS programs and training curriculum from the ground up.
• Conduct field safety assessments and site inspections across facility operations.
• Coordinate role-based safety and environmental training and maintain training records.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and high-potential events and drive corrective actions.
• Manage site-level environmental compliance responsibilities with the UGIES Environmental Department.
