Job summary

Sirius Staffing seeks an EHS Specialist to lead Environmental, Health and Safety programs at a manufacturing facility in Delaware, OH. The role focuses on compliance, risk reduction, and safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field required.
• 3+ years EHS experience in manufacturing required.
• Knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulatory requirements and environmental permits preferred.
• Experience with EHS inspections, audits, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
• Ability to train and communicate EHS requirements to all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Support and manage Environmental, Health and Safety programs in the facility.
• Provide EHS guidance and training to employees and leadership.
• Conduct safety assessments, JSA/JHA, hazard reviews, LOTO, and risk mitigation.
• Investigate incidents, injuries, near misses, and environmental events; implement corrective actions.
• Support environmental compliance including air permitting, water, waste, spills, and reporting.
• Evaluate EHS risks for new equipment and process changes; support audits and emergency response.
• Track and improve site EHS and sustainability performance.

Salary: $80,000-$105,000 + 7% annual bonus

We are seeking an EHS Specialist to support Environmental, Health and Safety programs at a manufacturing facility in Delaware, OH .

Reporting to the EHS Manager, this position will help manage day-to-day EHS programs, maintain regulatory compliance, reduce workplace and environmental risks, and promote a strong safety culture throughout the facility . You will work closely with manufacturing, engineering, technical teams, and site leadership to provide EHS guidance, training, and support.

Responsibilities

• Support and help manage the facility's Environmental, Health and Safety programs in accordance with federal, state, local, and company requirements.
• Provide EHS guidance and training to employees and leadership and help promote a strong safety culture throughout the facility.
• Conduct and support safety assessments, Job Safety Analyses (JSA/JHA), hazard reviews, LOTO, and risk mitigation activities .
• Investigate workplace incidents, injuries, near misses, and environmental events; identify root causes and ensure appropriate corrective actions are completed.
• Support environmental compliance, including air permitting/emissions, water, waste management, spills, required reporting, and site permits .
• Evaluate EHS risks associated with new equipment, capital projects, and manufacturing/process changes.
• Support EHS audits, inspections, emergency response activities, and corrective action management .
• Help track and improve site EHS and sustainability performance, including injuries, spills, waste, water, and energy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related scientific/technical field required.
• 3+ years of EHS experience within a manufacturing environment required.
• Experience with and/or w orking knowledge of applicable safety and environmental regulations, including OSHA and EPA requirements .
• Experience with EHS inspections, audits, risk/hazard assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions .
• Ability to effectively train, coach, and communicate EHS requirements to employees and leadership at all levels.
• Experience with environmental compliance, permitting, air quality, waste, or water programs is preferred.
• Chemical or automotive manufacturing experience and/or EHS experience supporting construction activities is a plus.
• Must be a U.S. citizen; no current or future sponsorship is available.
