Job summary

Stanley Black & Decker seeks an Environmental Health & Safety Associate in Mission, TX to join the on-site team. You will drive internal audits, manage documentation, coordinate corrective actions, and build a robust training matrix aligned with operations needs.

You will mentor department leads, schedule trainings, and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement across the facility. Proficiency in English/Spanish is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Manufacturing a plus.
• 2–5 years in Manufacturing with training/health and safety focus or similar.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and OSHA 10/30 preferred.
• Experience as a trainer or instructor in manufacturing/EHS.
• Auditing knowledge and certification helpful.
• OSHA courses completed (Recordkeeping; Hazard Identification; Risk Assessment).
• Proficiency with training documentation and data management.

Responsibilities

• Create and follow up the Internal Audit program.
• Act as Site Document Control Coordinator.
• Act as Site Corrective Actions Coordinator.
• Maintain the training matrix with site staff.
• Administer training programs per department needs.
• Coach owners in creating certification programs.
• Schedule trainings and promote safety culture.
• Track and archive training documents and databases.
