Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a seasoned Health, Environment and Safety (EH&S) professional to guide shop floor teams in maintaining a safe and compliant workplace. You will train, mentor, and support line management to implement the health and safety management system across departments, ensuring incident prevention and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in safety or related fields, 3+ years of industrial EH&S experience, and strong knowledge of OSHA/EPA laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering or Environmental Science or a certificate in Health and Safety or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years of Environment, Health and Safety experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of current OSHA and EPA laws and regulations.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide line management in developing and implementing the organization’s environment, health and safety management system.
• Provide on-floor guidance and mentorship for safe work practices and environmental compliance.
• Train employees in environment, health and safety management best practices.
• Identify hazards and develop safe work procedures; deliver safety training.
• Coordinate with management to ensure unsafe behaviour is corrected and safety is promoted.
