HuFriedyGroup, a leading dental instrument manufacturer, seeks an Health, Safety & Environmental Specialist to support EHS activities at our Northbrook facility. You will work with the EHS Manager to develop and improve EHS management systems, training programs, safety audits, inspections, and incident response.

This hands-on role requires engaging employees at all levels to strengthen workplace safety and environmental compliance within a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in a manufacturing, warehousing, industrial, or operations environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to deliver training and communicate safety information effectively to employees at all levels.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to identifying and addressing workplace risks.
• Experience supporting safety, environmental, or compliance programs is preferred.
• Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Develop and deliver engaging EHS training.
• Support development and review of EHS policies, procedures, and safe work instructions.
• Identify gaps in EHS management systems and implement corrective actions.
• Support injury, incident, and near-miss reporting and investigations.
• Promote safety awareness through meetings, newsletters, and internal communications.
• Help develop solutions to reduce occupational exposures and improve safety.
• Support continuous improvement and behavior-based safety initiatives.
• Train and educate facility safety committees.
• Assist with OSHA, EPA, environmental and local regulation compliance.
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings and maintain EHS visual management.
