Job summary

Lawson Products in Chicago, IL seeks an intermediate Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to implement safety, environmental, and transportation compliance across our MRO network. You will partner with operations leaders, warehouse teams and corporate stakeholders to reduce risk and improve workplace safety and environmental performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of environmental health and safety experience or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and incident investigations.
• Excellent communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead facility safety programs and initiatives.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments; investigate incidents using root-cause analysis.
• Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage EHS-related recordkeeping and regulatory compliance activities.
• Deliver hazardous materials transportation training and ensure regulatory documentation.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs and analyze safety metrics.
