Job summary

PPG is seeking an EHS Specialist for its Delaware, OH facility to lead the safety program and ensure compliance with federal, state and corporate requirements. You will train teams, perform risk assessments, and guide incident investigations across manufacturing operations.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering and operations, with a focus on reducing EHS risks and supporting site safety committees. Strong knowledge of OSHA/EPA regulations is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering or related science.
• 3+ years in a manufacturing environment; chemical or automotive experience advantageous.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA, and Workers' Compensation.
• Experience with EHS programs in construction settings desirable.
• Ability to lead and build safety culture across levels.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local and PPG policies.
• Provide leadership for EHS training.
• Evaluate EHS impacts of capital projects and perform risk assessments.
• Manage safety programs including Job Safety Analysis, site safety risk assessments, risk mitigation, and Management of Change.
• Support site management and review incident investigations and corrective actions through 5-Why and other methods.
• Provide oversight, audit readiness and mentorship for compliance audits and corrective action management.
• Lead emergency response activities.
• Develop programs to reduce EHS risks and to comply with regulatory and corporate requirements.
• Complete and submit environmental reports such as OSHA logs; manage site permits.
• Oversee Waste Management Program (Hazardous, Non-Hazardous, Universal).
