Job summary

PPG Industries, Inc is seeking an experienced EHS Specialist to manage a comprehensive Environmental, Health and Safety program for the Kansas City and Oklahoma City facilities. You will lead safety initiatives, provide training, and ensure regulatory compliance while partnering with manufacturing and engineering teams to reduce risk.

The role is onsite with frequent travel to Oklahoma City and Kansas City plants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Engineering or related science.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing/chemical environments preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA regulations and incident investigations.

Responsibilities

• Engage daily on the production floor to support a safety culture.
• Coach and mentor teams to enhance EHS capabilities.
• Lead or participate in safety committees; conduct monthly trainings and emergency response.
• Perform industrial hygiene tasks including air/noise monitoring and PPE programs.
• Assess safety risks for capital projects and ensure risk analyses are completed.
