Job summary

PowerStop LLC is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to develop and improve EHS programs across its distribution operations. This role partners with Operations, HR, Facilities, and leadership to ensure OSHA and applicable regulations while fostering a proactive safety culture.

Based at the Hodgkins facility, it is 100% on-site. You will lead safety training, inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, workers' comp reporting, and continuous improvement to

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience in manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, or industrial environment.
• OSHA 30-Hour General Industry Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers' compensation administration, hazard communication, incident investigation, root cause analysis, ergonomics, and risk assessment.
• Experience with facility inspections, audits, and corrective and preventive action plans.
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, ASC, HAZWOPER, or First Aid/CPR preferred.
• Excellent organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement and continuously improve EHS programs ensuring OSHA and local regulations compliance.
• Lead safety training initiatives and coordinate ongoing safety training for employees, supervisors, and managers.
• Develop safety presentations, toolbox talks, and department-specific training to reinforce safe practices.
• Coach leaders and employees on safe behaviors and continuous improvement.
• Conduct facility inspections, safety audits, ergonomic assessments, and hazard observations.
• Investigate workplace injuries and incidents; perform root cause analyses and preventive actions.
• Coordinate workers' compensation claims and return-to-work processes.
• Maintain OSHA records (OSHA 300, 300A, 301) and SDS management system.
• Develop and update SOPs, emergency procedures, and safety policies.
• Support emergency preparedness with drills and incident response planning.
• Evaluate equipment and process changes to ensure EHS requirements are included.
