Job summary

CSL Behring is seeking an experienced EHS professional to sustain and develop the site EHS program. You will align with global standards (Enablon, SDS management) and drive risk-based decisions across projects at the Kankakee site in Illinois.

The role requires 5–7 years in EHS within biotech/pharma or chemical environments, with ISO 45001/14001 knowledge and strong collaboration skills to influence across sites. OSHA certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Occupation Health and Safety or related field.
• Advanced degree preferred and/or an MBA.
• OSHA 3 General Industry and Construction Industry certificates (CSP, CSHT).
• 5-7 years of EHS or related experience in biotech/pharma or chemical environments.
• Experience with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Experience implementing and sustaining an EHS management system.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for sustainment/development of site EHS program aligned with global standards.
• Develop criteria for local/global management reviews and report to stakeholders.
• Lead safety incident investigations including root cause and corrective actions.
• Assist in Contractor/Construction Safety Program implementation with project teams.
• Oversee compliance programs related to OSHA general industry and construction safety regulations.
• Act as Safety SME during stage-gate reviews for Tier 1 and 2 projects.
• Ensure proper prioritization of EHS matters and risk controls across projects.
