Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. in Estill, SC is seeking an EHS Specialist to lead site safety and environmental programs. You will develop targets, manage data and drive improvements across the plant to reduce risk and ensure compliance.

As the site expert, you will implement global EHS standards, conduct training, and coordinate with regulators while fostering a culture of safety. This role offers growth within a Fortune 1000 company committed to people and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS or related field is expected.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and incident investigation.
• Experience using EHS data systems for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the EHS Manager and coordinates with the Regional Safety Manager.
• Develops site-specific EHS targets to reduce health, safety, and environmental risks.
• Manages data in the EHS system for injuries, workers' comp, near misses and inspections.
• Leads risk assessment to identify and control hazards across the site.
• Implements global EHS standards including Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space and waste storage.
• Leads safety teams and conducts EHS training programs.
• Collects data for regulatory reports and permits.
• Acts as primary contact with national and local environmental, health and safety agencies.
