Job summary

Valmont Industries, Inc. is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist to drive continuous improvement of EHS practices across the site.

You will participate in, and lead initiatives that align with Valmont’s enterprise EHS strategies, identify hazards, and support data collection for regulatory reporting. The role requires collaborating with site and regional leadership to reduce risks, implement the EHS Playbook, and mentor teams on safety practices while maintaining compliance in a

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with 3 years of EHS or 5 years of EHS-related experience
Experience implementing and maintaining environmental, health and safety programs
Ability to lead or support site teams responsible for managing EHS risks

Responsibilities

Reports to EHS Manager or General/Plant Manager and has no direct reports
Supports development and continuous improvement of EHS initiatives
Partners with regional/site management to deploy standards and campaigns across the organization
Helps implement the site’s EHS goals to reduce risks and environmental impact
Learn and manage the EHS information system for incidents, permits and reports
Assist in risk assessments to identify and control hazards
Engage Safety Committees and drive ownership of EHS activities
Support incident investigations and corrective actions
Collect data for regulatory reporting and permit submittals
Complete Valmont EHS Specialist curriculum within three months of hire
