Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Penrose, CO (with eventual relocation to Pueblo, CO) seeks an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to develop and improve culture and training across EHS disciplines, report to Safety and Compliance Manager, and contribute to comprehensive safety programs.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, risk assessment, and emergency response readiness with opportunities to influence safety performance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS with 2 years of experience or Master's in EHS with 1 year of experience or high school diploma with 5+ years in Environmental, Health & Safety roles.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT HazMat, ATF explosives, and environmental regulations.
• Experience conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.
• Ability to influence safety performance through formal and informal leadership.

Responsibilities

• EHS Program Management including audit and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Regulatory Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, ATF explosives, DOT/PHMSA, DoD safety manuals, ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
• Risk & hazard identification and assessments including incident investigations with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Environmental & industrial hygiene support for compliance programs and SDS management.
• Maintain Emergency Response/HazMat readiness and coordinate with external agencies as part of ERT.
