Job summary

Voyager Technologies in Denver, CO seeks a Director of Environmental, Health & Safety to lead EH&S across manufacturing operations, including explosive safety, regulatory compliance, and high-rate production. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
• 15+ years of progressive EH&S experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• DoD explosive safety program experience and knowledge of DoD 4145.26.
• Hands-on experience with live ordnance, rocket motors, or energetic materials.
• Knowledge of hydrazine and other hypergolic propellants; environmental compliance expertise.
• Experience with RCRA, CERCLA, CAA, CWA in industrial settings.
• Experience interfacing with OSHA, EPA, ATF and state regulators.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for EH&S across multiple sites and scale safety culture with production growth.
• Own Explosive Safety Program and ensure compliance with DoD, ATF, BATFE regulations.
• Lead hazardous materials handling, storage, and emergency response for energetic materials.
• Direct environmental compliance programs for regulated chemicals.
• Embed EH&S requirements into production processes from design to ramp.
• Lead facility safety programs including fire protection for explosive facilities.
• Interface with DoD customers and regulators on EH&S matters.
• Build and lead a multi-site EH&S team of specialists.
• Establish EH&S metrics, reporting cadences, and Board-level updates.
• Oversee permit management (air, stormwater, hazardous waste, explosives).
• Plan emergency preparedness and drills for explosive incidents and chemical releases.
