Job summary

Voyager Energetics Inc. seeks an Environment Health and Safety Coordinator to support the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of EHS programs across manufacturing and laboratory operations.

The role is onsite in Penrose, CO and will transition to Pueblo, CO, reporting to the Safety and Compliance Manager. Responsibilities include regulatory compliance, hazard identification, records management, training coordination, and incident investigation support; qualifications include a

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental health & safety with 1 year experience OR Master’s degree with 0 years OR 5+ years progressive EHS experience in lieu of a degree OR High School Diploma with 3+ years progressive EHS experience.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA general industry standards and applicable federal/state environmental and safety regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct workplace inspections, identify hazards, and communicate findings clearly in written and verbal formats.
  • Strong organizational skills with experience maintaining compliance documentation, training records, and logs in a regulated industrial environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn safety management or training tracking systems.

Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance Support — Assist the EHS team in maintaining and monitoring compliance with OSHA, explosives, DOT/PHMSA, DoD contractor safety manual 4145.26, and environmental standards.
  • Hazard Identification & Workplace Inspections — Conduct routine facility walk-throughs and hazard assessments to identify unsafe conditions and support corrective actions.
  • Safety Documentation & Records Management — Maintain accurate EHS records including training logs, inspection reports, incident documentation, SDS files, and compliance calendars.
  • Training & Safety Culture Support — Assist in the delivery and coordination of safety training programs including onboarding and refresher training; track completion.
  • Incident Investigation Support — Assist with documentation and follow-up for workplace incidents and environmental events, tracking corrective actions to closure.
