Job summary

Voyager Technologies is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Training Specialist to develop, deliver, and continuously improve safety training programs supporting energetic materials, explosives, chemical processing, and advanced manufacturing operations in Pueblo, Colorado.

This role combines classroom instruction with hands-on field engagement on site, working with operations, engineering, and EHS teams to ensure employees understand regulatory requirements and apply safe work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field with relevant experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years EHS/safety-training experience.
• Experience developing and delivering EHS training in manufacturing/regulated environments.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and general industrial safety requirements.
• Experience with hazardous materials safety and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to communicate technical/regulatory information clearly to diverse employees.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in both classroom and active manufacturing environments.
• Identify unsafe conditions and provide coaching and corrective guidance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain EHS training programs for manufacturing, energetic materials, explosives, hazardous materials, and labs.
• Deliver instructor-led and hands-on training for employees, contractors, and leaders.
• Conduct new-hire safety orientation and site onboarding.
• Create training materials, procedures, and assessments.
• Deliver training on OSHA, hazardous materials, emergency response, PPE, hazard communication, LOTO, confined space, etc.
• Support training related to DoD explosives safety standards and other regs.
• Collaborate with SMEs to develop technical training on energetic materials and high-hazard processes.
• Evaluate understanding via observations, assessments, and coaching.
• Participate in hazard analyses, risk assessments, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Maintain training records, certifications, and compliance docs.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or related field

High school diploma with 5+ years EHS/training experience

OSHA regulations knowledge

Hazardous materials safety/regulatory compliance

Strong presentation and communication

Ability to work in classroom and manufacturing environments
