Job summary

O’Neal Manufacturing Services in Cedar Falls, IA is seeking an EHS Specialist to establish and promote a safe, healthy work environment at the plant level. You will lead safety planning, audits, training material updates, and regulatory compliance with OSHA, NIOSH, and EPA standards.

Responsibilities include developing standardized programs with corporate EH&S, driving continuous improvement, and guiding plant managers on safety practices.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's in Occupation Safety/Environmental or related field preferred.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in EHS roles involving leading and coaching staff.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA requirements.
• Experience with Behavior Based Safety techniques.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement standardized EH&S programs to meet regulatory standards.
• Benchmark plant performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop and conduct EH&S program training.
• Provide strategic direction for hazard prevention and control.
• Implement and maintain behavior-based safety programs.
• Perform risk assessments and recommend protective measures.
• Manage Safety & Health programs across OMS plant and provide guidance to plant managers.
• Ensure proper recordkeeping and reporting to leadership.
