Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an EHS Specialist to support safety, security, environmental, and facility operations in a manufacturing setting. This role is located in Winfield, KS and offers a temp-to-hire path after a hands-on onboarding period.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience in manufacturing or related fields, with strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support workplace safety programs and regulatory inspections.
• Document inspections and safety activities using Gensuite.
• Track and support completion of employee safety training.
• Assist with investigating and resolving safety concerns.
• Participate in safety committees and recommend improvements.
• Create and manage employee and visitor badges; update access permissions.
• Coordinate and escort security vendors while onsite.
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules for facility equipment and systems.
• Assist with purchasing activities and invoice verification.

EHS Specialist

PDS Tech Commercial is looking for a hands-on EHS Specialist to support safety, security, environmental, and facility operations in a manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, working with people, and helping keep a facility running safely and efficiently.

Location: Winfield, KS

Pay: $ 26.00/hour

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Type: Temp-to-Hire

What You’ll Do

Safety & Compliance

• Support workplace safety programs and regulatory inspections.
• Document inspections and safety activities using Gensuite.
• Track and support completion of employee safety training.
• Assist with investigating and resolving safety concerns.
• Participate in safety committees and recommend workplace safety improvements.

Security Operations

• Create and manage employee and visitor badges.
• Update facility access permissions as needed.
• Conduct routine security and CCTV system inspections.
• Coordinate and escort security vendors while onsite.

Facilities & Vendor Coordination

• Help maintain preventive maintenance schedules for facility equipment and systems.
• Coordinate vendors supporting mobile equipment, dock doors, fire protection systems, and other facility needs.
• Assist with purchasing activities and invoice verification.
• Support housekeeping, shredding services, general contractors, and other service providers.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

Team Support

• Work with employees, vendors, and leadership to address operational needs.
• Support projects and additional responsibilities that contribute to overall business goals.
• Help promote a safe, organized, and productive workplace.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, facilities, EHS, or a related environment.
• Aviation industry experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds .
• Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively with employees, vendors, and leadership.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $26.00 per hour
