Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking an EHS Specialist to support safety, security, environmental, and facilities in a manufacturing setting in Winfield, KS. This temp-to-hire role offers a hands-on environment with varied tasks to keep operations safe and efficient.

You will help maintain safety programs, manage badges and access, coordinate vendors, and support preventive maintenance and housekeeping. The position requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year in a related field.

Qualifications

• Aviation industry experience is a plus.

EHS Specialist

PDS Tech Commercial is looking for a hands-on EHS Specialist to support safety, security, environmental, and facility operations in a manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, working with people, and helping keep a facility running safely and efficiently.

Location: Winfield, KS
Pay: $26.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Type: Temp-to-Hire

What You’ll Do

Safety & Compliance

• Support workplace safety programs and regulatory inspections.

• Document inspections and safety activities using Gensuite.

• Track and support completion of employee safety training.

• Assist with investigating and resolving safety concerns.

• Participate in safety committees and recommend workplace safety improvements.

Security Operations

• Create and manage employee and visitor badges.

• Update facility access permissions as needed.

• Conduct routine security and CCTV system inspections.

• Coordinate and escort security vendors while onsite.

Facilities & Vendor Coordination

• Help maintain preventive maintenance schedules for facility equipment and systems.

• Coordinate vendors supporting mobile equipment, dock doors, fire protection systems, and other facility needs.

• Assist with purchasing activities and invoice verification.

• Support housekeeping, shredding services, general contractors, and other service providers.

• Help maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.

Team Support

• Work with employees, vendors, and leadership to address operational needs.

• Support projects and additional responsibilities that contribute to overall business goals.

• Help promote a safe, organized, and productive workplace.

What You Bring

• High school diploma or GED.

• At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing, facilities, EHS, or a related environment.

• Aviation industry experience is a plus.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.

• Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $26.00 per hour
