Escalade Sports is seeking an EHS Specialist II to maintain and improve the EHS system and ensure compliance with Environmental and Health & Safety requirements. The role emphasizes collaboration across departments to mitigate risks and drive continuous improvement.

The candidate will manage waste streams, perform risk assessments, maintain SDS data, and coordinate training programs while ensuring regulatory adherence at the Gainesville facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an environmental science, health or related field preferred.
• 3–5 years experience in an environmental safety role required.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to safety and hazardous waste management.
• Experience in industrial recycling operations preferred.
• Analytical and project management skills are essential.
• Ergonomics familiarity is a plus.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with departments to mitigate EHS risks.
• Promotes EHS culture and complies with standards and local laws.
• Tracks and reports near misses, accidents, energy, water and waste metrics.
• Manages waste streams and regulatory conformity.
• Conducts hazard analyses and risk assessments.
• Maintains chemical SDS database and data quality checks.
• Leads safety training and presentations for employees.
• Oversees hearing, respirator, forklift, CPR, and related safety programs.
• Ensures compliance with hazardous waste and permit regulations.
• Performs OSHA/EPA inspections and prepares reports.
