Job summary

Serve Robotics is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to implement and manage workplace safety programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other regulations. You will partner with site leadership to promote a safe environment, reduce risk, and drive continuous safety improvements.

Responsibilities include developing policies, conducting inspections, managing training, investigating incidents, and coordinating emergency drills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, robotics, technology operations, or similar environments.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and EHS management systems.
  • Experience conducting incident investigations and risk assessments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EHS reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support development, implementation, and maintenance of EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Conduct routine facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
  • Monitor corrective actions and verify timely completion.
  • Assist in developing site-specific safety initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, local fire code, and other applicable regulations.
  • Maintain required EHS documentation, records, permits, and reports.
  • Support regulatory inspections and respond to findings as necessary.
  • Stay informed on changes to EHS regulations and industry best practices.
  • Lead or support investigations of workplace injuries, near misses, and environmental incidents.
  • Identify root causes and develop corrective and preventive actions.
  • Track incident trends and recommend improvements to reduce risk.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement and awareness initiatives.
  • Support safety committee activities and site-wide safety campaigns.
  • Assist with emergency response planning and business continuity efforts.
  • Coordinate drills for fire, evacuation, severe weather, and other emergency scenarios.
  • Ensure emergency equipment and supplies are properly maintained and inspected.
  • Support waste management, recycling, hazardous material handling, and sustainability initiatives.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and disposal of regulated materials.
  • Monitor environmental compliance requirements and reporting obligations.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
