Job summary

Sotalent is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist for our Portland, Maine facility to strengthen workplace safety and environmental compliance. The role emphasizes hands-on program implementation, training, inspections and ongoing improvement across manufacturing operations.

You will develop and maintain EHS policies, coordinate with regulators, lead incident investigations and drive safety communications, ensuring a compliant, safe and productive work environment for all

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• Alternatively, a relevant degree combined with 3–5 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain EHS policies and programmes in accordance with federal and state regulations.
• Deliver employee safety orientations, refresher training and workplace safety communications.
• Conduct job hazard analyses, safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Manage key safety programmes, including hearing conservation, hazard communication, industrial hygiene and contractor safety.
• Support managers and supervisors with incident reporting, investigations and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with local, state and federal regulatory agencies to maintain compliance.
