Job summary

EnviroLogix in Portland, ME seeks an EH&S Supervisor to create and enforce safety protocols for lab operations, while leading the Facilities team of two. You will manage SDSs, hazardous materials, and safety equipment, and coordinate external contractors to support campus safety and compliance.

You will develop emergency plans, conduct risk assessments, and drive 5S safety sustainment, mentoring staff and collaborating across departments to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in Occupational Health and Safety.
• Minimum of 5+ years in Health & Safety and/or Facilities roles.
• Safety certifications (CSP, CIH, STS) are a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce comprehensive safety protocols for lab activities.
• Lead safety compliance audits and internal safety inspections.
• Manage SDS libraries and hazardous materials documentation.
• Oversee safety equipment procurement and PPE usage.
• Lead the EnviroLogix Facilities team and external contractors.
• Create emergency response plans and 5S safety sustainment.
• Mentor teams; participate in production during spikes as needed.
