Job summary

Skydio, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to build scalable EHS programs across Headquarters, R&D, and deployment activities.

You will identify hazards, implement controls, investigate incidents, and deliver training in diverse settings including offices, labs, rooftops, and customer sites. You will collaborate with EHS Leadership, Facilities, and business leaders to create robust EHS processes and ensure regulatory compliance as we scale.

Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience with OSHA general‑industry requirements and familiarity with fall protection, ladder safety, PPE, Hazard Communication, electrical safety, LOTO, emergency preparedness, ergonomics, and incident investigation.
• Experience conducting JHAs, risk assessments, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Experience supporting field operations, construction, installations, engineering, R&D, manufacturing, or facilities environments.
• Ability to interpret regulations and translate requirements into practical operational controls.

Responsibilities

• Support development and implementation of EHS programs across Headquarters, R&D, Field Operations, and deployment activities.
• Partner with EHS Leadership to build new divisional safety programs, procedures, training, inspection systems, risk assessments, and operational controls.
• Conduct field and site safety assessments for deployments, installations, customer locations, and remote operations.
• Perform JHAs, pre-task risk assessments, and site-specific risk assessments, and recommend controls.
• Develop and deliver EHS training to employees, managers, field teams, engineers, and other affected personnel.
• Maintain EHS documentation, training records, inspection records, incident records, and corrective-action tracking.
