Job summary

Douglas Dynamics, LLC is seeking an EHS Specialist to develop and maintain safety initiatives across Upfit locations. You will lead incident investigations, manage risk reduction projects and ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and related standards.

The role emphasizes training, ergonomic assessments, and a culture of safety, with responsibilities spanning site visits, risk assessments, and collaboration with HR and operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Safety, industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, or related field.
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT and environmental laws applicable to manufacturing.
• Experience developing safety initiatives and leading investigations.
• Strong communication, training, and administrative skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Henderson's safety initiatives, policies and culture.
• Lead safety incident investigations and determine root causes.
• Coordinate environmental and safety compliance across Upfit locations.
• Train staff on safety programs and job-specific hazards.
• Assist in emergency response and first-aid administration.
• Maintain EHS logs and documentation; support HR with training records.
