Skydio is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our expanding EHS organization. This role works across office and lab spaces, engineering and R&D areas, and field deployments to build scalable EHS processes and infrastructure.

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist is a critical member of Skydio's expanding EHS organization. You will support Headquarters, R&D, Field Operations, and deployment activities while helping build the EHS programs, systems, and operating structure these functions need as they scale. Unlike traditional site-based safety roles, this position operates across office and laboratory spaces, engineering and R&D areas, field deployment locations, customer sites, public-safety facilities, rooftops, and other non-traditional work environments. You'll work closely with EHS Leadership, Field Operations, Deployment Engineering, R&D, Facilities, Training, and business leaders to identify hazards, implement controls, support regulatory compliance, investigate incidents, deliver training, and establish scalable EHS processes. A major part of this role is building EHS infrastructure for business areas that have not historically had dedicated EHS support.
This is an office based position at our HQ in San Mateo, CA. Travel is required based on operational need and may include customer deployment locations, public-safety facilities, rooftop installations, remote field locations, other Skydio sites, and incident-investigation, training, and audit locations.
At Skydio, our compensation packages for regular, full-time employees include competitive base salaries, equity in the form of stock options, and comprehensive benefits packages. Compensation will vary based on factors, including skill level, proficiencies, transferable knowledge, and experience. Relocation assistance may also be provided for eligible roles. The annual base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000.
