Job summary

Castelion Corporation is seeking an EHS Specialist to support manufacturing, R&D, and test operations by executing and maintaining EHS programs. You will conduct inspections, support training, manage hazardous materials and waste, and maintain required records and permits.

The role collaborates with operations, engineering, and leadership to identify hazards, verify controls, and reinforce safe work practices in a fast-paced environment as the company scales.

Qualifications

• Degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience supporting EHS programs in manufacturing, lab, or industrial settings.
• Working knowledge of OSHA or Cal-OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety and compliance inspections of manufacturing, R&D, and test areas.
• Perform JHAs and document hazards, steps, and controls.
• Verify PPE use and safety controls daily.
• Support PPE programs, training, and proper use.
• Maintain records, permits, postings, and inspection logs for EHS programs.
• Support industrial hygiene activities and sample data collection.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and injuries and track corrective actions.
• Schedule and document EHS training for onboarding and refreshers.
• Manage hazardous waste areas, labeling, inventory, and waste shipments.
• Maintain chemical inventories and Safety Data Sheets for hazard communication.
• Assist with environmental reporting and permit submittals.
