Job summary

US Farathane in Port Huron, MI seeks an experienced EHS Specialist to lead and support the plant's safety and environmental programs.

Responsibilities include enforcing OSHA procedures, coordinating training and inspections, investigating incidents, and advising on EHS questions. Strong communication with management and staff is essential.

Candidates should have 5+ years in an EHS role; experience in plastics/injection molding is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an EHS role.
• Experience in a plastic injection molding environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enforce and communicate all internal and OSHA safety procedures.
• Coordinate the safety program including written programs, training, inspections, and committee activities to ensure that local and federal requirements are met.
• Investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis and come up with corrective / preventative actions.
• Provide support to plant, for environmental, health, and safety questions / concerns.
• Reports to the Management Team on the status of the environmental management system, including environmental compliance, system audits and corrective action plans.
• Lead workers compensation claims, including paperwork and communications with injured employees and TPA/insurer.
• Other duties as assigned.
