Job summary

JLL is seeking an HSSE Specialist in Mountain View to develop and manage environmental health and safety programs. The role focuses on ensuring regulatory compliance and protecting people and the environment as part of the "Working Safely as One JLL" initiative.

You will educate and innovate to foster a Safety First culture across the account, lead incident investigations, and drive continuous improvement using HSSE data and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or commensurate experience in environment, safety or related field.
• Certification preferred: CHST, ASP, CSP, CIH.
• 3–5 years of EHS experience, preferably in facilities management.
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Analytical thinker with problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in data analysis and HSSE management tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement environmental health and safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct site audits and inspections focusing on high-risk areas.
• Provide EHS training to employees.
• Lead investigations for near-misses or accidents and implement corrective actions.

What this job involves - The HSSE Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing environmental health and safety programs. The goal of this role is to ensure that the
company complies with all relevant regulations and that its employees and the environment are protected from hazardous conditions.The HSSE Specialist will be a cornerstone of our commitment "Working Safely as One JLL". This role will be an educator and an innovator, driving a "Safety First" culture across the account.
Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement environmental health and safety policies and procedures
• Conduct comprehensive site audits and inspections, focusing on high-risk areas including Electrical Safety, Fall Protection, and Confined Space.
• Provide training on environmental health and safety topics to employees
• Lead investigations for any near-misses or accidents, identifying root causes and implementing robust corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain and analyze HSSE metrics, providing actionable insights to account leadership to drive continuous improvement.
• Work with management to identify and mitigate environmental health and safety risks
• Ensure the account stays 100% compliant with all environmental health and safety regulations and JLL Global Standards.
• Act as a champion for JLL’s Global Safety Week and year-round safety initiatives, fostering high engagement through creative training and communication.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in environmental health and safety. Preferably within Facilities Management or similar field industry.
