The role emphasizes CAL/OSHA compliance, risk assessments, JSA improvements, PPE management, and environmental health initiatives, with opportunities to lead safety projects and mentor staff in best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in occupational safety, occupational health, engineering, environmental science, or related EHS field.
• 3+ years of experience managing EHS programs.
• Expertise in chemical safety, industrial hygiene, electrical safety, energy control, and confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Help implement site EHS policies and programs aligned with Corporate EHS.
• Ensure compliance with CAL OSHA, CALEPA, and KUPA regulations.
• Conduct risk assessments and safety observations to identify gaps and drive improvements.
• Develop inspection checklists and perform comprehensive safety inspections.
• Assist with JSA improvements, PPE assessments, and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Lead EHS projects in safety, environment, and occupational health.
