Job summary

Compliance Management International (CMI) seeks an experienced EHS Site Manager to lead safety programs at a manufacturing facility in St. Peters, MO.

This hands-on leadership role focuses on regulatory compliance, risk reduction, and continuous improvement while partnering with site leadership. The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of EHS experience, strong OSHA knowledge, and a track record in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
• 7–10 years of EHS experience, including leadership/management.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulatory requirements.
• Manufacturing or industrial EHS experience preferred.
• Leadership, communication, investigation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve site EHS programs and initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state/local regulations.
• Conduct facility inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and risk assessments.
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Manage environmental programs including waste, stormwater, wastewater, air emissions, chemicals, and hazardous materials.
• Develop and deliver EHS training and manage contractor safety programs.
• Maintain permits, records, regulatory submissions, and EHS documentation.
• Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
• Track and communicate EHS metrics, trends, and performance.
• Lead emergency preparedness and response activities.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, HR, and other site functions to strengthen safety culture.
