Job summary

onsemi is seeking a self-driven Environmental Health and Safety Site Leader to guide compliance, manage risk, and promote sustainability through collaborative teamwork.

The role focuses on leading EHS improvements, conducting root cause analyses, tracking metrics, and maintaining audit readiness for ISO14001/ISO45001. Travel up to 10% may be required as part of supporting site-wide safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in chemical or environmental engineering, physical or biological sciences, industrial hygiene, or related engineering field.
• Ability to travel up to 10% for business.
• 6+ years of experience as Environmental or Safety engineer/specialist, Fab/Facilities Engineer, or Industrial Hygienist.

Responsibilities

• Lead site EHS improvements and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Drive root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions for incidents, injuries, and trends.
• Track and report EHS metrics and KPIs monthly.
• Maintain audit readiness for ISO14001/ISO45001 certifications.
• Develop effective EHS programs and training based on needs assessments.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety and health laws and permits.
• Continuously improve the site's regulatory compliance assurance process.
• Collaborate to address unsafe acts and conditions identified on an ongoing basis.
• Prepare and submit EHS reports and permit applications by due dates.
• Lead continuous improvement teams to drive EHS initiatives.
• Interface with regulatory agencies for inspections and renewals.

Education

BA/BS degree in chemical or environmental engineering, physical or biological sciences, industrial hygiene, or other engineering discipline.
