Job summary

Harvard University is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professional to provide technical and operational support across the university. You will serve as a liaison for schools/departments, develop Safety & Compliance Management Plans, and deliver training while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires field inspections, incident investigations, data analysis, and collaboration with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in occupational safety or related field or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of safety/EHS experience in industrial/institutional settings
• Strong working knowledge of federal, state and local regulations
• Excellent oral and written communication, including training delivery
• Ability to manage multiple assignments in fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

• Serve as EHS liaison for schools/departments and provide technical support
• Conduct EHS inspections, investigations, and hazard assessments
• Develop and maintain Safety & Compliance Management Plans and SOPs
• Create and deliver training, maintain documentation and data systems
• Coordinate with local, state and federal EHS agencies and projects
