Job summary

Shirley Parsons is seeking an EHS Manager for a large-scale transformer operation, based in a complex production environment. You will drive a proactive safety culture, strengthen environmental and compliance programs, and lead continuous improvement across the site.

The role partners with operational leaders to coach teams, investigate incidents, monitor audits, and embed risk management practices to boost operational performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Chemical Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Approximately 8+ years of HSE experience, preferably within manufacturing, industrial, or production environments.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with responsibility for managing and developing teams.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and compliance management systems with stakeholder influence.
• Proven coaching, communication, and problem-solving skills in cross-functional or matrixed organizations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the site HSSE function, ensuring alignment with operational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Create and implement health, safety, security, and environmental strategies focused on risk reduction and continuous improvement.
• Partner with operational leaders to provide coaching, guidance, and expert HSSE support across the facility.
• Drive incident investigation, near-miss reporting, and organizational learning, promoting a non-punitive reporting culture.
• Monitor performance trends through audits, inspections, and data analysis to strengthen site-wide HSSE initiatives.
