Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is seeking a Safety Specialist to coordinate environmental, health, and safety activities across our facilities. This role focuses on maintaining compliance with EPA, OSHA, and internal safety standards, while promoting a strong safety culture.

The ideal candidate combines organizational skills with strong interpersonal abilities and has 2+ years in manufacturing safety or relevant educational background.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret OSHA 1910 standards.
• Experience in manufacturing safety settings.
• Strong interpersonal and management skills.
• Commitment to safety and policy adherence.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor facility teams to implement health, safety, environmental, and loss prevention programs.
• Evaluate operations to ensure compliance with safe operating policies and OSHA requirements; provide coaching and training.
• Conduct risk assessments, analyze safety data, and drive action plans to meet targets.
• Prepare reports including incident documentation, regulatory submissions, audits, and corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents and coordinate follow-up on employee care related to safety.
• Provide guidance to facility leadership on safe operation and maintain safety documentation.
