Job summary

IMTT is seeking an EHS&S Manager to lead the Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security Department in Lemont, IL. The role ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and internal policies while promoting operational excellence and a strong EHS culture.

The ideal candidate will oversee monitoring, reporting, training, and cross‑functional collaboration with operations and engineering to safeguard employees, the public, and the environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• Experience with air quality, water management and waste regulations at state and federal (EPA) levels.
• Familiarity with US Coast Guard security regulations for marine terminal operations.
• Proficient in regulatory compliance and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage the EHS&S department to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate compliance monitoring, recordkeeping, reporting, inspections, and submissions to agencies.
• Develop, implement, maintain and enforce EHS&S policies and procedures.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and local authorities.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective actions; implement preventative measures.
• Provide training on environmental, health/safety, security, and compliance topics.
• Utilize Intelex and other EHS systems for regulatory compliance.
