Mission Critical Group seeks a Quality Technician to interpret, comply with, and improve our quality assurance standards. You will document QA activities, maintain audits, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.

You will work with operations to track quality levels, investigate issues, and support ISO9001 and internal audit programs, ensuring training and compliance across teams in our Northern Kentucky facilities.

Qualifikationen

• Two-year degree in STEM or related field or equivalent experience in manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Knowledge of warehouse inventory management (Preferred).
• Knowledge of metal shop manufacturing and quality control (Preferred).
• Knowledge of quality assurance standards, ISO9001, auditing, non-conformance/corrective action, etc. (Preferred).
• Knowledge of electrical equipment manufacturing, installation, and use (Preferred).
• Background screening clearance required.

Job Description

The primary role of the Quality Technician will be to interpret, comply with and improve MCG’s quality assurance standards. Essential to this responsibility will be the requirement to ensure quality assurance activities are documented, internal reporting processes adhered to, and regular audits implemented. The Quality Technician will identify any training needs and ensure the company-wide participation in the quality management system.

Responsibilities:

The following list of responsibilities is not all inclusive, additional projects and/or tasks may be assigned to meet operational needs. MCG retains the right to change or assign other duties to this position should operational needs warrant.

• Plan, execute, and document inspection and testing of products to verify conformance with specifications and deliverables.
• Assist operations team in tracking, documenting, and reporting quality levels for performance, corporate social responsibility, environmental, health, and safety goals and key performance indicators.
• Investigate product complaints and reported quality issues to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
• Monitor risk-management procedures using software and documentation to identify, investigate, and report issues to management and product development teams.
• Identify and provide training and support to team members, focusing on systems, policies, procedures, and processes.
• Support, participate in, or conduct external ISO, UL, or internal audits.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge/Experience:

• Two-year degree (or equivalent experience) in S.T.E.M or related field or equivalent years of experience in the manufacturing/industrial industry setting.
• Knowledge of warehouse inventory management. (Preferred)
• Knowledge of metal shop manufacturing and quality control. (Preferred)
• Knowledge of quality assurance and continuous improvement standards, terminology, methods, and tools including ISO9001, version control procedures, non-conformance/corrective action processes, auditing, 8D, 5Why, PFMEA, Kaizen, process flow mapping, etc. (Preferred)
• Knowledge of electrical equipment manufacturing, installation, and use. (Preferred).
• Satisfactory completion of additional background screening.

Required Skill/Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making skills
• Excellent technical writing and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interpret basic electro-mechanical diagrams including front elevation, one-line, manufacturing, and schematic drawings
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Proficient in all Microsoft office applications.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Must be able to use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), to include, but not limited to eye/ear/hand/feet protection.
• Physical exertion may vary. May be required to regularly stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, frequently stand or walk around the work area, and lift or move objects up to 50 lbs.
• Work responsibilities may involve manipulating small parts, using hand tools and repetitive motions. Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity are essential.
• Must be able to follow instructions and stay alert to potential hazards on the shop floor.
• Must be able to access and navigate each department at the assigned facilities.
• Manufacturing facilities can be loud and have bright lights. Temperatures subject to seasonal weather conditions (hot in summer and cold in winter months).
