Job summary

Coherent Corp. Sherman, Texas facility seeks an experienced EHS leader to drive the site Environmental, Health, and Safety Management System in alignment with corporate standards and ISO-related requirements.

You will develop the EHS strategy, monitor performance, and coordinate improvements across production, lab, and utility areas. You will lead incident investigations, regulatory reporting, and contractor safety programs, while ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
• Five or more years of EHS management experience in a manufacturing, chemical, research, or other high-hazard industrial environment.
• Demonstrated experience managing EHS personnel and comprehensive EHS programs.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, TCEQ, Texas environmental requirements, and relevant industry standards.
• Experience with OSHA Process Safety Management in a covered manufacturing or high-hazard industrial facility.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site EHS Management System in alignment with Coherent standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement the site EHS strategy, objectives, and performance indicators.
• Lead incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions across the site.
• Oversee environmental programs, permit compliance, and wastewater/air regulatory requirements.
• Provide EHS leadership for construction, renovation, and contractor safety across projects.
