Job summary

Leonardo DRS seeks an experienced EHS leader to ensure site compliance with environmental, health, and safety laws and the DRS EH&S policy. The role involves building proactive safety programs, coordinating with regulatory agencies, and driving training and audit readiness across the site.

The position emphasizes risk assessment, document control, and continuous improvement while supporting the company values and a 9/80 work schedule. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Environmental Science or related field; 5+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills; able to lead and resolve conflicts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; good organizational and negotiation abilities.
• Proficient PC-based computer skills; experience with safety software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement proactive EHS safety programs with measurable metrics.
• Interface with government and regulatory agencies as needed.
• Manage site performance and contract commitments to ensure continuous compliance.
• Lead risk assessment processes and training programs for EHS.
• Maintain procedures, plans and training materials for audit readiness.
• Provide EHS audit services and project management support as required.
• Support and reinforce company mission, values and culture.
• Act as emergency coordinator for the site when needed.
• Promote green initiatives within the organization.
