Job summary

Slate is seeking an EHS Manager, Plant Operations to develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs in our automotive manufacturing environment in the USA. You will drive compliance, safety culture, and continuous improvement across operations.

The role requires extensive EHS expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to lead investigations, training, and reporting to optimize safety performance and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of related experience.
• Certifications: CSP, CIH, or equivalent desirable.
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to analyze data and implement effective solutions, proficiency in EHS software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs compliant with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Lead risk assessments and implement corrective actions to mitigate identified risks.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs across all levels of the organization.
• Lead investigations into EHS incidents and identify root causes to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure operations comply with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant standards.
