Job summary

Everett Ship Repair is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to implement SEMS, lead the site EHS team, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations while promoting a safe working environment for all employees.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, professional safety certifications, and 5+ years of safety experience, including shipyard exposure. Strong training and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
• CSP, ASP, GSP, or SMS Certification or other recognized safety certification.
• 5+ years of experience in a safety-related role.
• Knowledge of state and federal safety regulations.
• Experience with shipyard and OSHA 1915 standards.
• Ability to deliver EHS training to the team and develop and enhance EHS training.

Responsibilities

• Implement SEMS throughout the site and ensure policy and program adherence.
• Lead and coordinate EHS Supervisors and Coordinators across vessels, drydock, and yard.
• Develop site safety plans and emergency response procedures.
• Oversee safety audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collect and report safety performance metrics to management.
