Job summary

SAFE Boats International in Bremerton, WA is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to lead comprehensive EHS programs for its 300+ employee-owners. You will act as SME for hazard analysis, training, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance while promoting a safety-first culture across the organization.

You will report to the Chief People Officer, oversee workers compensation and safety committees, and coordinate first responder readiness with regular travel

Qualifications

• Requires a BA/BS in Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Sciences, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of related experience and/or training.
• Experience delivering health, safety, and environmental training.
• Ability to manage workers compensation systems and return-to-work programs.

Responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices; conduct on-site inspections; advise on compliance with city, state, and federal regulations.
• Implement controls from hazard analysis; measure effectiveness; recommend improvements to prevent incidents.
• Manage workers' compensation programs, return-to-work, retroactive programs and Loss Prevention.
• Coach teams to own safety; ensure adherence to environmental regulations and safety standards.
• Develop and deliver safety/environmental training; create education materials; conduct New Hire Orientation.
