Job summary

SAFE Boats International in Bremerton, WA is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety Manager to lead EHS initiatives, ensure regulatory compliance, and promote a safety-first culture across the site. The role oversees daily safety projects for our 300+ employee-owners and partners with production leadership to embed safety ownership throughout the organization.

The position requires coordinating with federal, state, and local agencies, managing training, incident reporting, and workers’

Qualifications

• Able to make complex decisions.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to lead and direct teams and/or committees.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing techniques.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and Power BI.
• Ability to analyze data and make recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Identify hazards and evaluate health, safety, and environmental conditions; conduct inspections and advise on compliance.
• Implement hazard controls and measure effectiveness of safety programs.
• Manage workers' compensation programs and return-to-work processes.
• Coach and partner with production leadership to embed safety ownership.
• Develop and deliver safety training and New Hire Orientation.
• Coordinate safety committees and lead safety-related meetings.
• Analyze accident and exposure data; recommend corrective actions.
• Oversee environmental compliance programs including hazardous waste and air permits.
