Job summary

Sika has an opening for an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager in the Sealy, TX area for our Roofing business. You will lead Environmental, Health & Safety, Ergonomics, Industrial Hygiene and Emergency Response at the site.

You will coach leadership on safety culture, drive EHS training, manage risk assessments, and ensure compliance with PSM and RMP, while integrating corporate EHS programs into daily operations.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental health science, or similar degree.
• 5-10 years professional experience in occupational safety, environmental, or similar role(s).
• Chemical or similar manufacturing backgrounds preferred.
• CSP or CIH and/or MS preferred.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical and influence skills; interact with all levels of employees and management.
• Knowledge of EPA (Environmental) OSHA (Occupational Safety), EPA RMP (Risk Management Plan) and similar regulations and reporting.
• Experience fostering a world class safety culture (Bradley Curve).
• Self-motivated, self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Coach leadership on safe behaviors and safety culture.
• Lead EHS training programs and site risk assessments (HIRA, JHA/JSA, Safe Work Permitting).
• Participate in safety walks and site inspections focusing on behavior and conditions.
• Ensure use of EHS systems (Sphera, Gensuite, HSI SDS).
• Support Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Program (RMP) compliance.
• Lead incident investigations for near misses and injuries.
• Contribute to development of annual Sika Safe Program.
